It also had a interesting tech tree but it was pretty much pointless since you just took the same path over and over again.īecause only one path gave you the field hospital(or something) that allowed you to refit your units. Driven by new ideas of Enlightenment, the hearts of men and women across the continent are inflamed with dreams of freedom and glory. However if you want 100 wood and offer 10000 gold they will refuse.Īlmost felt like I was cheating sometimes. If you are lucky some war might break out but that was rare.Īlso the AI refused to accept deals that would benefit them and only accept deals that benefited you.Īn example, You wanna buy 10000 wood from let say france and you offer to pay 100 gold for it. The AI never backstabbed you and was overall pretty docile so nothing really happened on the campaign map. Yes alliances worked but it worked too well. If you did that, they became even more stupid since they then do a head-on kamikaze attack against the artillery and they didn't care what you had in the way. Only way to change the way they behaved would be to use artillery. It never took into account what you did so once you learned what the AI did, you could beat them easily. Every map had a different script but only one per map so if you fought on the poland map 5 times the AI would behave exactly the same each time. Artillery could wipe out an unit without problems thanks to them being dead-on accurate and powerful.ģ.4 The AI was scripted. When you have top of the line elite infantry getting it's ass kicked by simple militia(think peasants in TW) you know something wrong is going on.ģ.2 All units fought to the death, no morale system or anything.ģ.3. Land battles were also interesting and the graphics were pretty nice for it's time but that's where the good things end.ģ.1. And no it wasn't because it went outside of the map limit.ģ. Controlling more then 1 ship was a pure nightmare and ship disappeared without any reason(and yes I mean they disappeared for good).

Naval combat was a intersting idea but done poorly. you only had like what 5-6 factions to choose from and they all had the same units.Ģ.
IMPERIAL GLORY MOD PATCH
Now with a few patches this game could have been something but only one patch got out and it didn't fix the main problems with the game.ġ. It looks cool and showed alot of promise instead we got a bad game. I suggest to delete all starting traits of the default starting scholars in the Grand Campaign mode (this will be more realistic).
IMPERIAL GLORY MOD MOD
Coming from someone that never played the game, what makes it so hated? It looks pretty cool to me.Yes it does. Re: The Imperial Glory Mod Ok the Grand Campaign time frame is done (for all Grand Campaign playable factions and modes).
